$100 billion

President Bush has requested over $100 billion for the war in Iraq for 2007. That's $100 billion not spent on lowering education costs. $100 billion not going to post-Katrina rebuilding. $100 billion not redistributed to our poorest and most disadvantaged citizens. $100 billion not helping to fight the homeless crisis. $100 billion not going to ESL classes or adult education. $100 billion not going to the Sudan, or Haiti, or Serbia, among others. It is $100 billion going to a mismanaged war, which the majority of Americans do not want (and did not want) fought. $100 billion dollars not even going to the families of injured and fallen soldiers who have already paid the price.

America is one of the richest and most powerful countries in the world. What are we doing?
