nineteen years after the tiananmen square crackdown, dozens of the pro-democracy protestors are still being held in chinese prisons...hundreds were killed in june 1989 and many were imprisoned in the aftermath simply for questioning the government's actions...

this week tens of thousands of amnesty international and human rights supporters will demand that the chinese authorities release all those who remain imprisoned in connection with the crackdown...

china has promised human rights improvements before the olympic games begin on august 8th...call on the chinese government to release the tiananmen activists and work to establish a positive olympic legacy...
